Marshmallow Krispies

January 2, 2011

Just poppin' in today to share an easy treat recipe. These little guys always go over big for office food days, holidays, parties, etc. Enjoy!

Start off by spearing all your marshmallows with a toothpick.

Melt your butter and sweetened condensed milk together in the microwave.

Then add your caramels to the mix.

Nuke that all together in the microwave and you've got caramel sauce!

Coat your marshmallow in the caramel sauce.

Roll it in the Rice Krispies.

Line a cookie sheet with wax paper and let them set. I like to stick mine in the fridge for a while.

Marshmallow Krispies
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup butter
25 square caramels
1 package of jumbo marshmallows
3 cups Rice Krispies
Toothpicks

Mix the condensed milk and butter in microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Do NOT let the milk boil.

Add the caramels to the mixture and microwave for 2 additional minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Depending on your microwave, it may not take the full 2 minutes to melt the caramels.

Dip marshmallows in caramel mixture then roll in Rice Krispies. Place on waxed paper and refrigerate until ready to serve.
